Triflex warm roof systems for flat roofs incorporate thermal insulation to provide a fully integrated warm roof solution.
What is a warm roof?
A warm roof can be an effective way to increase energy efficiency in buildings, and is a common type of roof in the UK. On flat roofs this means that in the roof build-up, the insulation layer is above the roof structure, or substrate. A liquid waterproofing membrane is then installed above the insulation layer, and an air and vapour control layer below. The roof structure, or roof deck is therefore on the warm side of the insulation, which means there is less chance of thermal bridging, and no ventilation is required.
The Triflex warm roof systems can incorporate polyisocyanurate (PIR), vacuum insulated panels (VIP), mineral wool and expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation or combinations of these materials. The build-up is tailored to and dependent upon the required U-value and condensation risk analysis. Our technical expertise provides a bespoke project specification for every scheme to meet your warm roof requirement. Tapered insulation schemes can also be provided to improve falls and drainage. For zero pitch or completely flat roofs, Triflex hydrolysis resistant systems are resistant to ponding water, providing long lasting waterproofing.
For flat roof refurbishment projects, thermal insulation can be incorporated into a Triflex overlay solution negating the costly strip up of existing waterproofing membranes. This approach can minimise disruption, reduce wastage and provide a shortened project delivery time.
With BBA certification, tested to EN 13501-5: Class BROOF(t4) and exceptional waterproofing integrity backed up by meaningful warranties, a Triflex warm roof solution is a dependable choice.
Triflex waterproofing system for warm roofs
Triflex ProTect warm roof: The Triflex ProTect warm roof system can incorporate polyisocyanurate (PIR), vacuum insulated panels (VIP), mineral wool and expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation or combinations of the materials.
Suitable for both new build and refurbishment, the completely cold liquid applied Triflex ProTect warm roof system offers an engineered solution comprising all system elements.
Triflex ProThan warm roof: The Triflex ProThan warm roof system can incorporate polyisocyanurate (PIR), vacuum insulated panels (VIP), mineral wool and expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation or combinations of the materials.
For high moisture environments such as swimming pools and textile factories the build-up may additionally include a Triflex Water Resistant Roofing Board.
Triflex SmartTec: Triflex SmartTec can be used for standard roofing and details to basement and foundation waterproofing.
Being virtually odourless the system is ideal for hospitals, nurseries, food processing and other sensitive areas and is particularly suitable for damp cementitious and other substrates.
