Inverted roof systems

Triflex waterproofing systems are suitable for inverted warm roofs. Tough and durable, they can be laid underneath thermal insulation build-ups to provide a warm roof solution.

What is an Inverted roof?

An inverted roof is where the liquid waterproofing membrane is installed directly onto the structural deck, and covered with insulation and either paving or ballast. This is sometimes referred to as a protected membrane, or “upside down” build-up.

In Triflex Inverted warm roof systems the liquid applied membrane is installed directly on the structural deck, beneath the thermal insulation materials such as extruded polystyrene XPS in the main, or sometimes expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation. The waterproofing system build-up is tailored to and dependent upon the required U-value. The system is then completed with a suitable overburden.

The Triflex liquid waterproofing membrane is hydrolysis resistant, meaning it will not be broken down over time by standing or ponding water. Triflex waterproofing membranes are extremely tough, durable and highly resistant to UV and chemical degradation. The elastomeric properties and dynamic crack bridging means that Triflex ProTect can be confidently use in either warm roof or inverted warm roof build-ups. Our systems are fire performance tested to EN 13501-5 : Class BROOF(t4) too for peace of mind.
