No one would deny that it’s been a challenging time in the logistics industry during 2021. Here at Triflex we have been able to rise to those challenges to deliver nearly 5600 pallets of goods within the UK.
From Brexit and the much publicised fuel shortages, to the pingdemic, driver shortages and M25 protests its certainly been an interesting year for the UK logistics industry. Working closely with our primary warehousing and logistics partner Stan Robinson Ltd, who are located near to our headquarters, continues to ensure that our customers receive their goods to the right place at the right time. In addition the Triflex logistics team work tirelessly with their international providers; Rhenus Logistics and Purrmann Logistik, to bring goods into the UK from the Triflex German manufacturing hub, either direct to clients or the warehousing facilities.
The teams in both Triflex and Stan Robinson understand that only through close communication and teamwork can any unexpected challenges be overcome. With UK in stock goods typically received the next day, the nationwide service is achieved through a network of depots based in Stafford, Durham, Glasgow and Devon. Lynsey Hammersley, Triflex Logistics Manager explains “Whilst pallet networks may have their place, we feel that it’s important to maintain control of the whole logistics process from order to delivery. Working together with our logistics partners and the depot model, we can maintain a high quality of service, whatever the challenges!”
As the construction industry was gripped by shortages, thanks to our stringent contingency planning, robust supply chains and excellent logistics partners, we were able to consistently meet clients’ needs throughout 2021. In addition, procedures and processes were put in place to ensure the safety of those clients who collect their goods directly from the Stafford warehouse.
As 2022 unfolds we are confident in our supply chain resilience, and with an established logistics team on hand we will continue to strive to deliver your products to the right place at the right time. And of course, rise to the unexpected challenges along the way.
