Liquid Waterproofing Project of the Year: Winner and Runner-Up!

Triflex LRWA Awards finalist

Triflex is celebrating a remarkable achievement after securing both winner and runner-up positions at the LRWA Awards in the Liquid Waterproofing Project of the Year category.

The renovation of Swan Walk Car Park was awarded the top prize, recognising the innovative solution delivered by the highly experienced teams at Triflex, Rateavon Ltd, and Stripe Consulting Ltd. Their expertise enabled the successful application of Triflex DeckFloor with Emery aggregate to address a severely gouged surface. Extensive condition mapping allowed for targeted repairs, preventing the need for a complete strip-out and re-lay of the concrete screed. The Thistles Centre Car Park refurbishment in Stirling also received recognition, earning a Highly Commended award in the same category. Originally built in 1977 and closed in 2020, the car park required extensive refurbishment to be brought back into operational use. Triflex DeckFloor with Quartz and Emery aggregates were installed to provide a robust waterproofing system, following approximately 800 concrete repairs across the 3,500m², six-storey structure.

Tony Mills, Sales Director at Triflex, commented: “These awards are a fantastic recognition of the power of collaboration. By working closely with our partners, we were able to develop tailored waterproofing solutions that not only addressed complex challenges but also delivered long-term protection. It’s a testament to the expertise, dedication, and teamwork that drive our success.”
